Patternette and its new ambassadors

Posted

Patternette is proud to introduce two incredible seamstresses: Sarah Scremin & Lucie Roncin. These talented and passionate seamstresses now both be official represent the Patternette brand of fully tailor-made patterns.

But what does this actually mean?

Simply that Lucie and Sarah will be there to inspire you. I know that it can sometimes be difficult to visualise a project with sewing pattern illustrations only. You need something real. Thanks to their sewing experience, which they have built up over the years, they have found their own fashion identity which I believe you will love. They will tell you about their creations made with Patternette patterns and will help you to envision yourself through the most beautiful pattern and fabric combinations.

Let’s discover or rediscover the profiles of these two seamstresses, so that we can get to know them, their background and creativity better:

SEWING PASSPORT

Sarah started sewing at the age of 25. She took her first steps in sewing thanks to a seamstress who gave lessons just a stone’s throw from her home. After 2 years of guided practice, she became self-taught and found a true passion for sewing.

Sarah now has DIY tutorials and hacks for recreating pieces from today’s most famous brands. Whether it’s accessories, lingerie, women’s or children’s clothing, Sarah is a multi-talented seamstress!

According to Sarah, sewing is synonymous with precision, imagination and, above all, enjoyment.

So if you’re looking for modern, confident sewing, you have come to the right place…

Why did you agree to become a Patternette ambassador?

I alter 98% of my patterns, so when I discovered Patternette and its customised patterns, it was love at first sight. So it was only natural that I agreed to be an ambassador for the brand. I hope to be able to share this revolutionary concept with many other seamstresses and sewing enthusiasts.

SEWING PASSEPORT

Lucie started sewing three years ago, somewhat by happenstance, when she was living in Madrid. She took a few sewing classes there because it was so affordable, especially compared to Paris prices! This gave her the opportunity to learn the basics of sewing. She soon decided to buy her own sewing machine so that she could experiment with all kinds of projects. And now she can’t get enough…

This passion for sewing led Lucie to change her career and pursue a sewing-related path. With her marketing training under her belt, she now works for the famous fabric shop Atelier brunette. In broad terms, Lucie is helping to build the brand’s visual identity by creating scenographical designs with photography, but also in the brand’s shops.

One thing is certain, Lucie will draw you into a world full of softness and poetry with her modern and feminine sewing.

What about you? Why did you agree to become a Patternette ambassador?

I had been following Héloïse’s project closely and was delighted to discover designs with a modern, feminine fit to which I could fully relate. Patternette allows you to combine tops and bottoms to create customised sewing patterns to match your style, thanks to the 80 possible combinations. All you have to do is let your creativity take over!

Lucie

Check out Lucie’s latest Patternette creation below… It’s a long dress made in a light linen fabric. With its side slits, it will be your best friend for this summer!

To make the same dress, select the following customisation options:
