This autumn/winter couture-inspired collection has pieces for everyone: extravagant, classic chic, sportswear and casual. As you will also notice, this year I went for colour. Gone are the winters with their sad and dull outfits, let’s be bold and wear colour!
Wait no longer and discover pieces designed and sewn with Patternette’s customisable sewing patterns. You will find details on how to make them, the supplies needed, and some advice on the changes to be made…
Tiered dress
To start with, I would like to introduce you to a boho inspired dress. The tiered skirt is absolute perfection when it comes to adding volume and lightness to your dress! Wear it as is or with an oversized jumper in cool weather. This dress has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe: simple and bold…
The dress was sewn in size 40 for a 1,80 m height.
Tip for the button placket: the button placket part on the right has been cut off the pattern so that it can be sewn like facing. This allows you to sandwich the loops to fasten the shank buttons.
BUTTON-DOWN DRESS
A little retro dress with bishop sleeves, a high-rise collar and covered buttons. It will be your best ally to achieve an elegant and refined look…
Pssst… Let me warn you: you will need a lot of patience to cover all the buttons, but trust me, the result will be well worth the effort!
The dress was sewn in size 40 for a 1,66 m height.
CHANEL DRESS
Who hasn’t dreamt of a little tweed dress in a Chanel style? Well, now you have it, thanks to Patternette! And if there’s a bit of fabric left over, what better way to accessorise your outfit than with sewing a matching bob? It will add a modern touch to your outfit, trendy look guaranteed…
The dress was sewn in size 40 for a 1,67 m height.
Modifications: the edges have been left raw to achieve a frayed effect, therefore the facing should not be sewn. Add 4 patch pockets measuring 20 cm x 15 cm.
Modifications: skirt length shortened by about 30 cm, wrist cuff lengthened by about 5 cm.
SHIRT DRESS
I consider the white shirt dress to be a wardrobe essential. It’s a basic item you can easily pair with anything, on any occasion, regardless of your style. However, this time I decided to give the classic white shirt a twist by adding peasant sleeves to give it a more sophisticated look. The cotton I used is slightly stiff to add structure to the garment. I just love it!

FAUX LEATHER DRESS
This faux-leather dress is inspired by a creation by famous haute couture designer Gabriela Hearst, now head of artistic direction at Chloé.
With its classic, modern design, it’ll be your best ally against the chilly autumn and winter days. Are you surprised? And yet, did you know that faux leather is a material which keeps you warm?

Modifications: shaping hollow folds at the bottom of the sleeves
Modifications: adding a belt at the waist
GREEN JUMPSUIT
Looking for a multi-purpose outfit which combines both comfort and elegance? Then this is the garment for you. Best sewn in a soft, heavy fabric for it to fall so beautifully!

BLAZER DRESS
The blazer collar, whether worn with a dress or a jumpsuit, is the way to go if you want to look like a working girl!
This collar was designed to offer the perfect balance: a neckline which is well defined but not too deep, a short peak and a wrap-around style to enhance your femininity. Adding buttons, as we have in our version, will give your dress something of a sailor/military feel which will change its final look completely.
The dress was sewn in size 40 for a 1,80 m height.
Modifications: adding a cinch belt, sewing 4 buttons and 4 buttonholes to fasten the dress.
Modifications: adding two leather bands to tighten the bottom of the trousers
FAUX LEATHER SET
When designing your pattern on Patternette, you can make a jumpsuit, a dress or simply a top and a bottom. It’s rather ideal for creating outfits like the one Elodie is wearing!
