It’s sunny, it’s hot… Looks like summer’s here!
To celebrate, I thought I would arrange a little surprise. For the very first time, Patternette is organising its own sewing challenge, starting on Tuesday the 5th of July 2022. For this first edition, I have chosen a theme that is colourful, festive and feels like summer holidays: “Cocktail”. Find out more about entry rules and prizes in this article!
How to participate
The aim of the Sewing Summer with Patternette challenge is very simple: sew an outfit which matches the theme, using Patternette patterns. For this first edition around the theme “Cocktail”, I encourage you to draw inspiration from your favourite drink mix to create an outfit with the same colour palette. First of all, which cocktail is your favourite? Do you prefer monochromatic cocktails ( one colour only) or colour block cocktails (several colours)?
4 steps you should follow to participate:
- Choose your favourite-coloured cocktail, either an existing cocktail or one from your imagination,
- Create your outfit using the Patternette silhouette,
- Sew your outfit , or sew at least one of the pieces with Patternette patterns, using the colours of the cocktail you have chosen,
- Take a picture of your final creation,,
To validate your entry, post your creation on Instagram using the #patternette and #deficocktail hashtags. Feel free to share all the steps of your participation project in your story or publication by tagging @patternetteofficial!
You have from Tuesday the 5th of July 2022 to Friday the 19th of August 2022 to complete your participation project!
