How does it work?
Choose a design,
combine, and create
The great thing about Patternette is that you are free to create any sewing pattern, anywhere.
First, think about the design you want. A skirt for the workplace or a dress for dancing?
Once you have decided, all you have to do is experiment with the options. You can do this in two different ways: either click on the arrows to move from one option to another, or click on the option of your choice (skirts, for example), which will give you an overview of all the options available in that category. Incompatible combinations are automatically rendered inactive. Did you select the wrong design? No worries, you can start over as many times as you want. Once you have made up your mind, all you have to do is confirm your order and start sewing straight away.
In short, Patternette is the freedom to create made simple.

Who, How and Why
Patternette?
My name is Héloïse and I discovered the world of sewing in 2015.
Personally, I have always been fascinated by clothes. Not because of the clothes themselves, but because of the way they express people’s personalities. I was constantly looking for unique pieces you wouldn’t find in others’ wardrobe. And the best way to get unique pieces is to create them yourself.
One day, I gave it a go and learnt how to use a sewing machine with simple projects and no patterns. Over time, I moved on to using commercial sewing patterns, but they never quite lived up to my expectations. So, I decided that it was time for me to learn pattern-making so that I could create my own patterns and no longer feel limited in my creativity…
Since then, I have been free to create any garment based on a simple picture!

About Patternette,
the idea and concept…
Like many, I started sewing using commercial sewing patterns. I often found it very frustrating that I could never find a pattern which truly met my desires. I wanted to combine all the patterns so that I could make my dream pattern.
Then one day, while driving, I had an idea. What if I could create a website where you could combine options to create fully customised sewing patterns??
And so Patternette was born.

Stragier is a family business that took its first steps in 1935. It has numerous specialized departments in the textile industry, including a bridal department with an impressive selection of lace.
